33rd Annual TubaMeister Christmas--San Antonio

All tuba, euphonium, and baritone horn players are invited to participate in the Thirty-Third Annual TubaMeister Christmas, on the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk.

This event will take place, rain or shine.

Date: Saturday, December 17, 2011
Time: 9:45 a.m. Registration
Rehearsal: begins 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Rehearsal Location: St. Johns Lutheran Church (502 E. Nueva )

Concert: 12:00 noon Arneson River Theater (on the River Walk)
Conducted by: Lee Hipp of the San Antonio Symphony

Cost for participants: $5.00 donation
For audience: Free of charge

Each participant will receive: one copy of the music (baritone parts available in both clefs), a place to meet, rehearse, and perform, and a good time!

Participants should bring a music stand or lyre. A strap may be helpful in holding the instrument. The concert will be performed while standing. (If you are unable to stand, please call to make special arrangements.)

Music is approximately grade 1½-2.
Therefore, it is playable by even very young players. (Download the music here)

*** This year’s concert will include performances by the mass ensemble, The TubaMeisters, and a special appearance by Tuba Cabra, from the 323rd U.S. Army Band at Fort Sam Houston. ***
