If any of you guys around west texas/east NM are interested, this concert will definitely be the best $10 you spend all year. Pat and Sam will be performing pieces off their upcoming album with their new group, the "Big Bottom Band", including percussionist Todd Chuba. Tickets available at the door, concert starts at 7PM. Hope to see some of you tubenetters out there!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the concert was a huge success!! Even though I have studied with these gentlemen the last two summers, I am constantly amazed by their innate musicality and how well they relate to an audience!

Just as a sidenote, they spent the better part of two days working with our bands and our students, and all I can say is incredible. If you haven't had a chance to see these guys work their pedagogy with younger students, it is a beautiful thing to see. Do yourself and your program a favor and bring them to your school to work with your kids!!!!

Thanks, Pat and Sam, this was definitely one of those things that my students will be talking about for a long time!
