This year’s Miraphone Academy will be held June 1-3 on the campus of the University of North Carolina Greensboro. The tuition cost for the three day event is $175; attendees will be individually responsible for housing and meals. A $50 reservation fee is due by May 21st. A list of suggested hotels will be sent to all registrants.

There is a limit of 24 participants for the Academy—this event usually fills up quickly. We accept performers at all levels. This can be a great tune-up session before going to ITEC 2012, or a way to get back into playing. In recent years we've had recreational players alongside high school and college students.

The Academy is hosted by Dennis AsKew; other faculty for 2012 include Demondrae Thurman and Benjamin Pierce. Together, they will present masterclasses on musicianship, performance, fundamentals, and other topics; additionally all participants will have lesson sessions with each faculty member.
