The Southeast Tuba Euphonium Workshop is an opportunity for college- aged students to study in an intensive week of lessons, master classes and chamber music with three leading teachers of the euphonium and tuba: Ben Pierce, Demondrae Thurman and David Zerkel. Students enrolled in the seminar will each have a one-hour lesson with a faculty member, play in a master class setting and perform in a tuba euphonium quartet. Evening performances will consist of a solo recital by each of the faculty, two recitals by seminar participants and an evening of chamber music performances by seminar quartets. The camp enrollment will be limited to 28 participants, 14 tubists and 14 euphoniumists, so there will be plenty of opportunity for individual attention from the workshop faculty.
The camp will be held in the beautiful Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia in Athens, one of Americas quintessential college towns. The camp will be a residential camp and the cost of registration includes all housing and meals. Participants will stay in a new dormitory building within walking distance of the School of Music, and meals will be at The Summit, the premiere facility of UGA's award winning dining services.

Re: Southeast Tuba Euphonium Workshop
After spending the week with Ben and Demondrae in Battle Creek, hearing them play and discussing our plans, I am very excited about the workshop! It will be a great week of music!
I still have a couple of openings for euphonium players and a couple more for tubists! Participants are coming from places such as Indiana University, Michigan State University, Louisiana State University, University of Iowa, US Army Bands, Illinois State University, University of Louisville, Illinois Wesleyan University, Tennessee Tech and UGA, to name a few.
The dates for the conference are July 8-14. Housing and meals are covered in the workshop fee.
