Faculty Artist Series: Phil Black, Tuba

Post by Yodachihuahua »

Live in the Wichita, Kansas area and have nothing to do on Tuesday, Oct. 21? Well, you could come watch WSU's amazing tuba professor Phil Black's tuba recital at 7:30 P.M. It will be at Wiedemann Recital Hall at WSU. The box office will open one hour early, so that you may get tickets. The tickets will cost $7.

Musical selections played will be: A Gypsy Tuba Player in New Orleans, Keith Terrett ; Sonata No. 2, Cherubini arr. Mike Forbes ; Suite for Tuba "3 contrasting Moods", Robert Calkins ; Regions for tuba & percussion, Andy Francis ; Suite No.1 for tuba and woodwind quintet, Ken Friedrich.

All of this is just what I have been told by Mr. Black.
"Tuba or not tuba, that is the question." :tuba:
