WHAT:
A solo Euphonium recital, program to include the following-
Fantasia di Falcone, a new Concerto by James Curnow
Histoire du Tango, by Astor Piazzolla, for flute and guitar, played on euphonium and electric guitar.
Fantasia di Concerto (yes, Fantasia this, Fantasia that) by Eduardo Boccalari
Prelude and Fugue In Eb Major, for brass trio, by Oscar Boehme (with the two dots on the O).
Opus 87, A 4 movement work by Ludwig von Beethoven, written for two oboes and english horn, set to brass trio by Robert King.
WHERE:
Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Watson Recital Hall.

I wish I was playing all 4 movements of the Piazolla, I'm only playing the inner two movements, Cafe 1930 and Nightclub 1960, the other two are just insanely high for me. And thanks Jamie, I'll let you know how It went, and then I'll throw 4 beers back.

Hey there, Hiram, how ya been? Sorry I never called after the Budapest trip, but I lost your parents' card in the trek home. By the way, one of your old teachers from New World, Professor Prime, is teaching clarinet at UNF now; he was asking about you. He (of course) had a lot of good things to say.
Folks, this dude is a wonderful euphonium player and musician, and you will hear much more about him in the future. I wish I could check out this performance, but not with my schedule or income.
