New Concerto for Tuba and Wind Orchestra by Bruce Yurko - Nov. 14

Composer, Bruce Yurko, has written a new Concerto for Tuba and Wind Orchestra that I will premiere this Sunday, November 14 at 3 PM eastern with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Timothy Paul. You can live stream the concert at this link: https://youtu.be/-k_1GZ-wexI. The concerto has some very powerful sounds, beginning with a brooding recitative section. The middle section of the concerto features a driving theme that is traded between the soloist and the wind orchestra. A final fanfare section appears before ending with the original recitative.
