Hi all,
I'm presenting a lecture recital on my DMA dissertation, "Progressive Jazz Duets, Trios & Quartets for the Intermediate Level Tubist: Teaching Musicianship & Style through Chamber Music" Thursday, Dec. 1 at noon in Mills Hall on the UW-Madison campus. The recital will feature some of my 30 original compositions for multiple tubas and euphoniums as well as a discussion of why I decided to do what I did and what impact I hope it has on young tubists and stuff.
Grant Harville, Mark Carlson and Justin Richardson will be there to assist and will be swinging hard, as usual. Hope to see some of you there.
