The weather this Sunday may make traveling interesting. Please check the band web site before traveling. Any changes or cancelations will be posted, I'm told. The full program looks something like this-

'Spectrum' (1969) by Gilbert Vinter
(Introduction; Red; Orange; Yellow; Green; Blue; Indigo; Purple; Conclusion)

'Variations for Brass Band' (1958) by Ralph Vaughan Williams

March: 'The Champions' by Major G. H. Willcox

Hymn: 'Amazing Grace', Traditional arr. William Himes

Cornet Solo: 'Concorde' by Roy Newsome. Soloist Dr. Gary Fienberg

Jazz selection: 'Chelsea Bridge', Billy Strayhorn arr. Adrian Drover

Overture: Jubilee by Philip Sparke. Conducted by Dr. Gary Fienberg

Novelty: 'Thingumybob' (Lennon-McCartney) by Paul McCartney

Selection: 'Gaelforce' by Peter Graham

Finale: 'McArthur Park' by Jimmy Webb arr. Alan Fernie

After a short interval (10 minutes) there will be an open rehearsal for
one hour. Audeince members are welcome to join the band onstage - and to
sit alongside players or sections of the band. Half an hour will be
given to Spectrum and the Variations respectively and Dr. Allen will
explain how the music works.
