Tubas in the Summer Chamber Workshop

Hi all--

Just wanted to make everyone aware of an upcoming event happening in June. UNCG will be hosting the 2nd annual Tubas in the Summer Chamber Workshop. This 3 day workshop was formed to give amatuer and high school performers experiences in chamber settings (tuba/euphonium quartets and large tuba ensembles) These are more than just reading sessions--you are placed in a quartet and large ensemble, coached, and then you perform on day three. The large ensemble(s) are featured in an outdoor concert with the Greensboro Concert Band. The concert last year was heard by over 5000 people (yes, really)

Our primary clinicians are Demondrae Thurman, Tony Granados, and me (Dennis AsKew).

We encourage already formed quartets, and/or multiple students from the same school, however everyone is welcome. There is a maximum number of 50 we can accomodate.

We do not provide housing or meals--I can send hotel info as needed--therefore, the registration cost can be kept low--$50 for the workshop.
