I wanted to make a post to tell everyone that may be in the vicinity of Ottawa Ontario in the next coming weeks about the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival (July 22-August 6). This festival is always enjoyable as it presents such a wide variety of chamber music from all over the world featuring some of the top talents from Canada and abroad. This year the festival has concerts by Empire Brass, Jens Lindemann ,Moscow String Quartet, Gryphon Trio, Penderecki String Quartet, Louie Lortie, and many, many others. The festival takes place in many of the churches throughout Canada’s Capital City and there are as many as 10 concerts offered per day!

Here are a few things that have changed since you left Chicago:

Barenboim is gone
Sox are defending champs while Cubs stink
Tourist attraction is a huge metal bean
An airport disappeared overnight (literally)
Greetings to Rex ok?
Okay, but he's probably closer to your neck of the woods right now, performing and teaching.
