Boston Mountain Brassworks, Sep. 26 in Richardson, TX

Post by Kevin Miller »

The Boston Mountain Brassworks is the faculty brass quintet of the University of Arkansas. They are finishing up a tour through Texas with a stop at Richardson High School. It is a performance of light classics and some contemporary (quite palatable and easy on the ears) tunes. It will be a casual concert of about one hour with no intermission. Admission is free and this is a great opportunity for the kids to get a taste of something different in a casual setting and at an easily accessible location.

The tubas should especially take note to attend. The tuba teacher at the U of A is Ben Pierce and he is a phenom! He is equally virtuosic on tuba and euphonium.

Date: Tuesday September 26

Time: 8:00-9:00

Location: Richardson HS Band Hall

1250 Belt Line Rd. Richardson, TX 75080

The Fine Arts complex is actually on Dogwood Rd.(first light just east of Coit) which runs along the west side of the school.

Parking is ample along the Fine Arts complex. Just enter where the sign reads “Band Hallâ€
