I'm not planning on participating in any Oktubafests this year, however I am schedule to perform at several Oktoberfests in the coming weeks. I have already performed at two fests. Now the fun really begins. This weekend I will be performing at the Fredericksburg(Tx) Oktoberfest. Next weekend I perform at the Beethoven Garden Oktoberfest(San Antonio). The weekend of the 21st will be the North by Northwest Oktoberfest(Austin, Tx.).I may be going to the one in Helen, Ga. the following week, if I am able to clear some of my work schedule. After that comes the Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Tx. I will perform there on 8 of 10 days of the festival. These, in addition to a couple of other festivals and private parties, will keep me pretty busy.

For those who have not had the pleasure of playing for Oktoberfests, you have missed a really fun activity. Before I had done this, I used to sniff at those who did. I don't do this anymore.

AND,
This is either you or your twin! Holding out on us, eh?

Would you believe me if I told you that was my evil twin? Ok. That's me. I will be performing with the TubaMeisters, the Sauerkrauts, and the Fun Bunch at Wurstfest. I will not be there on either Friday night. On Thursday I am to play two sets with the Sauerkrauts and one set with the Fun Bunch. I hope to see you there, Doc. I'll buy you a beer if you'll let me know you're there. Wurstfest is a great festival, in my opinion, anyway.

I will also be playing in Fredericksburg this weekend. Since I now live in Wisconsin, it very well might be my last time playing at this great event.

Bring your horn, Ken. Maybe you'd like to sit in on a tune or two. We can make fun of you. Just kidding.
