Boston TubaChristmas 2006
Come One, Come All, to the 21st Annual Boston TubaChristmas Concert!
The Boston concert will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 25th
Located in the performance plaza between Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.
All tubists, euphoniumists, and players of all other conical low brass instruments (no trombones please) are invited to play. Please bring your own stand and music. Chairs will be provided. Music, past year buttons, hats and scarves will be available for purchase at rehearsal. Our coordinator and conductor, Todd Milam, will be leading us once again. This year’s special guest conductor will be Mike Milnarik, of the Innovata Brass, Portland Brass and Brass Sect. For more information about Mike, visit his website at www.michaelmilnarik.com.
Discount concert parking will be available for performers at the garage under 75 State Street (entrance on Broad St.) – get your discount card at lunch. Parking at the rehearsal site is free.
Rehearsal Site: Unified Arts Building, 46 Tappan Street, Brookline. Directions are given below.
Registration: Begins at 8:30am and requires a tax-deductible contribution of $5.00. Each registrant will receive a TUBACHRISTMAS 2006 Commemorative Button.
Music: CAROLS FOR A MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS – VOLUME 2 is available in both treble and bass clef versions at registration for $12.00 per book.
TUBACHRISTMAS hats and scarves will be available at registration for $12.00 item.
Rehearsal will be from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the band room at the Unified Arts Building. We will then move to the marketplace for a free lunch, which will be provided by our site sponsor: The Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Directions to the lunch site will be provided at rehearsal. During the concert, cases can be stored in the rooms where we eat lunch.

BY CAR: Take Route 128/95 to Exit 20 towards Brookline/Boston on Route 9 EAST. Go 5 ½ miles. Turn LEFT onto Sumner Road. Take first RIGHT to stay on Sumner Road. Take first RIGHT onto Tappan Street. The UAB is just ahead on the RIGHT. Free parking is available in the lot on the side of the school (to the LEFT of the school as you face it’s front) and also on the street in front of the school and around the park.
BY T: Take the GREEN D Line Train to Brookline Hills stop. Exit the train and turn immediately LEFT. The Unified Arts Building is immediately in front of you.
Enter the school through the front entrance. Follow the signs to the Registration Desk on the top floor to register and store cases. (There is an elevator.) Rehearsal is in the BAND ROOM.
