Vincent Cichowicz Memorial Concert

As many of you know, world renowned trumpet player and brass pedagogue Vincent Cichowicz sadly passed away in December, 2006. As trumpet professor of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the Domaine Forget Music Festival for over twenty years, his contribution and influence to Canadian brass playing was immeasurable.
To celebrate his life and teaching, a memorial concert will be held on January 21 in the Tanna Schulich Recital Hall at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in Montreal.
The concert will include solo and ensemble performances by many of his former students, now professional brass players from across Canada. These will include members of the Montreal Symphony, The National Arts Centre Orchestra, The Quebec Symphony, the Hamilton Philharmonic, and the Canadian National Ballet Orchestra. The McGill Brass Ensemble will be conducted by Edward Carroll.
