Bob,
I'll be using a Dillon/Conn F-tuba with a Dillon custom mouthpiece of my own design.

Thanks,
Frank

Argh! Sorry I have to be out of town this weekend.

Anyone in the NYC area should try to make it to this concert to hear Frank!

Best of luck, Frank!

Gary

Thanks guys.

Jim, you probably know the horn. It was originally built for Scott Mendoker. A small barebrass, Conn Eb cut to F with 4 pistons one rotar added. The horn is from Worchester Mass, which I believe dates it to the 1890's. Scott used it on the Holsinger CD that he Played Kansas City Dances on. A great horn with a kicking low range.

The mouthpiece is custom made by Dillons. It is based on an old Mirafone Eb mouthpiece. NOT the Eb/F that are pretty common. I've never seen another just marked Eb. A few small adjustments like a Laskey style rim make it a great small, solo mouthpiece.

I have the Holsinger CD, so I've heard that horn before, but I've never seen it. He got it after I left Rutgers.
