Chicago Civic on Monday 9/24

Post by bigwillystyle »

If you're in the area...

The Civic Orchestra of Chicago

Monday, Sept 24 at 7:30PM
at Orchestra Hall (220 S Michigan Ave)

Strauss -- Don Juan
Prokofiev -- Lt. Kije Suite
Respighi -- Pines of Rome

If the ticket policy is the same, it should be "free" with a $1 service charge at the door. It's general admission, so arrive early for the seat of your choice.

Go Big Willy! Looks like a full program for you once again. I'm sure you're killing it all, per usual. Wish I could be there!

Bob, come as you are; they won't throw you out for it. Patrons often put on the finery for concerts, and while that may be nice, enjoying the music comes first. But show up plenty early; since it's "free", seats often go like the proverbial hotcakes. And make sure you introduce yourself to Mr. Russell after the gig down in the back near the Bass Bar.

Thanks to everybody who came!

Civic Orchestra's next big event is not until November 4, but it's a good one. Shostakovich 10 with Bernard Haitink conducting. I'll be sure to post a reminder in a few weeks.
