this is a site for the Jim Cullum Jazz Band. they play on the riverwalk at the Hyatt Hotel and they pretty much have been there since the riverwalk opened and they play literally 365 days a year in one form or another.
they have a page for listening and this is just good old 50s and 60s jazz and it is free to join.
when i go to TMEA i go at least one night because the music educators convention brings in alot of jazz players from the different instrument companies and it is always amazing. $6 cover and there is no pressure to drink and it is just a great time. they play at least 3 hours.
the atmosphere is great and the jazz cant be any better. if you go to San Antonio, go to The Landing at the Hyatt and listen to some great jazz. you will not forget it.
Also this gal played trumpet with the group and i have heard some of her stuff on the radio. really good player and very nice looking.
they have her on the broadcast doing an hour w jim cullum and she plays well.
