Hey all!
Just wanted to inform you all of an upcoming concert with the St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mike Sanders will be playing the Vaughan Williams Concerto with us on our concert on Friday, March 14 at 8pm. This concert will happen at the old Symphony School of Music Building at the corner of Delmar and Trinity in University City. Tickets are $15 I believe.
Other pieces on the program (that are of interest to tubists) are Intro to Act 3 of Lohengrin by Wagner, Danse Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saens, and Overture to Colas Breugnon by Kabalevsky.
This program will also feature the Coriolan Overture by Beethoven, Variations on a Theme of Haydn by Brahms, and the Hubler Concerto for Four Horns and Orchestra, featuring the graduate Horn Quartet from the University of Illinois.
For more info, go to www.stlphilharmonic.org.
Thanks!
