Army Field Band Spring Tour 2008

Greetings:
The US Army Field Band will travel South through the States of VA, NC, SC, AL, and GA. Feb 28-Apr 2. From MD to the Keys of Florida and back. Watch out spring breakers...

I get quite a few inquiries about what we will be performing,
Music that is programmed for the tour follows. We travel with four programs, then variations off of each one. The rep follows.
Marches:
Liberty Bell, Hands Across the Sea, Washington Post, King Cotton, Stars and Stripes, Steadfast Leadership, Manhattan Beach, The Virginians
Concert Band music:
Hymnsong Suite, Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Red Machine, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story , Beltway Jam
Chorus or Vocal features:
Promise of Living, Carmen, Soldiers Chorus a cappella :
On the Battlefield, Soon I Will Be Done , Soldier Won’t You Marry Me, Cloudburst.
Nella Fantasia ,Night at the Opera, Arirang/Var. on Korean Folksong, Let the Bright Seraphim , From This Moment On, Ragtime, Last Full Measure of Devotion, New World (vocal ensemble)
Instrumental, section features:
Section Showcase, Rosauro, Malagueña (Trombone quartet) , Klezmer Tribute, Histoire du Tango (Clarinet Quartet) ,The Fabulous Dorseys , Concertpiece no. 1 (clar duet) Andante and Allegro (oboe) Kinloch of Kinloch (piccolo)
Numerous Patriotic selections will also be programmed.
