BBC groups to join forces for Ives recording

The BBC (Elstree Studios) Concert Band has been invited to collaborate with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in a radio broadcast about the music of Charles Ives.
Our contribution will be to record some 1920's/1930's music of the sort which influenced Ives' own compositions. We will also join forces with the orchestra, a choir and a "marching band" to create some "Ives-like cacophony".
All this will happen on familiar ground, in BBC Maida Vale 1, on Sunday October 26 - rehearsing in the morning and recording in the afternoon for BBC Radio 3
More details as we get them.
