Baylor Octubafest

Tues, Oct 19: joint guest recital featuring Brian Meixner, euphonium and Dan Sipes, tuba. Brian is playing Sparke/Concerto and Picchi(arr Mantia)/Original Fantasy, and Dan is playing cello sonati by Brahms and Vivaldi plus Vaughan/Suite for Tuba.
Wed, Oct 20: BU Euph/Tuba Ens recital. Rep incl Stevens/Power, Holmes/Quartet, some standard arrangements/transcriptions, and some not-so-standard stuff, such as Teike/Alte Kammeraden.
Both events begin at 7:30 pm in Meadows Recital Hall on the Baylor campus, and both events are free of charge. A great opportunity to check out the BU campus, BU euph/tuba studio, and/or just have a good time. FYI, the US Army Jazz Ambassadors are also performing at BU on Thurs, Oct 21 (also free of charge).
