I want to let you know about a very special event to be held at Capital University. World renowned tuba soloist Øystein Baadsvik will be presenting a Masterclass and concert on February 7, 2009.
The Masterclass will take place at 3:00 PM February 7 in the Huntington Recital Hall at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. The cost is $10. The recital will take place that evening at 8:30 PM in Mees Auditorium. the cost for that is also $10. The price if you attend both events is $15. Tickets will be available at the door. We can accept cash or checks made out to Capital University. CD's and sheet music will also be available. Øystein's repertoire for the recital will include the Vaughn Williams Concerto for Bass Tuba, Three Tangos by Astor Piazolla, and Fnugg Blue performed with Capital Thunder. Please feel free to post and distribute the enclosed poster.
I urge you all to attend this very unique concert. Bring all of your students as this will truly be an inspirational day.
