The Charlotte Tuba Euphonium Ensemble is meeting on June 6, 2009 in order to read music written for the tuba euphonium ensemble. We will be meeting at Park Road Baptist Church at 12:30 pm. If you are interested and play a euphonium or tuba please contact Dave at
dave@dsbe.org" target="_blank* One side note of interest to TC players "all music will be in Bass Clef" . This is because we are getting the music from various sources on that day with no time for transposition.

Wow, this sure sounds like fun! As a strict Sabbath observer, I will not be able to attend any rehearsals or concerts from sunset Friday thru sunset Saturday, but otherwise I would be happy to join in. Please contact me if there is a chance of meeting on a different day.

This looks like this will be a great time. A chance to be a part of forming a New Tuba Ensemble in Charlotte North Carolina. A chance to learn from some of the best players in the area. A chance to meet new Tuba players, make new contacts. A chance to read some NEW music, and really challange ourselves. Fun, Food, and TUBAS.....The makings of a great day. Be sure to let us know if you plan to come so we will have enough copies of music, we even may have some treble cleff parts for all the TC readers.

I didn't catch this thread in time to make the gathering...
How did it go? How many showed up? Any chance of another get together? I'm disappointed that I missed this one!

I think we had a very good showing for the first time. We had 11 euphoniums and 10 tubas. The music was great. A large assortment of different pieces, so much so we ran out of time to play them all. The group is planning to get together again in August. We will include your name in the invitation.
If you are interested, Dusty Sandals Brass Ensemble is looking for euphonium and tuba players to play an ambitious schedule at local nursing homes. The pay is great, all the smiles you can collect after the concerts!
Please PM for more information.
Blessings,
