Dr. Steve Shoop to Perform Solo Pomposo- June 22

The Mesquite Symphonic Band presents its 19th season of Music in the Park each Monday evening in June. The band is conducted by Dale Coates and performs marches, pop tunes, show tunes, Broadway tunes, and light classics. The June 22 concert will feature the Dallas Highland Dancers. In addition, Dr. Stephen Shoop of Ennis will be performing a tuba solo with band accompaniment- "Solo Pomposo". The concert will be held at Westlake Park, 600 Gross Road, Mesquite, Texas. Performance time is 7:15 p.m. Concerts will not be cancelled due to inclement weather, but will be moved to the front steps of the Mesquite Arts Center, located at 1527 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, Texas. Admission is FREE. Bring your lawn chair and concessions are available. All proceeds go towards funding the Mesquite Symphonic Band.
