There is a nice article in the San Jose Mercury News today about La Fanfare du Belgistan:
http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_12843802 - they are currently in Colorado and will be in Santa Cruz, San Jose, Palo Alto (free show) and Berkeley next week. (then L.A. and off to Italy.)
I am listening to their MySpace tracks right now - they have come up with a very interesting blend of Balkan Brass, Jazz, African rhythms and brass pop!
from their site:
http://www.eyefortalent.com/index.cfm/f ... ist_id/124 for local tour info. They have many clips on Youtube (of various sound quality) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A9YLlYeSKY will get you started.

http://www.myspace.com/belgistanThe Fanfare's extensive collection of classic and exotic musical instruments (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, trumpet, sousaphone, derbouka, tapan, karkabas, guembri and many more) produces the most eccentric sounds and eclectic experiences: from traditional Gypsy songs to original and modern compositions, as well as some Asian-inspired groove music and contemporary improvisation.
