Shires Day at Brooklyn Conservatory

Post by glangfur »

I know some of you play trombone...and you know trumpet players at least to say hello

At the invitation of Earl McIntyre and the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music, we’ll be showing Shires trombones AND trumpets at the Brooklyn Conservatory a week from this Friday, October 30th, from 1 until at least 3:30.

I will be there along with my colleague Wes Hopper, and Sam Burtis will also serve as one of the hosts of the event. As I know more of the people planning to stop by I'll post updates here.

BROOKLYN CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
58 Seventh Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11217

Directions to the Brooklyn Conservatory
Take the B or Q train to Seventh Avenue and walk four blocks south to Lincoln Place, or take the 2 or 3 train to Grand Army Plaza, walk south to Lincoln Place and then west to Seventh Avenue. The B43, B65, and B67 buses stop within a few blocks of the Conservatory.

To add to the announcement:

It's confirmed now that Perry Sutton will be there to represent our New York/New Jersey Shires dealer, Dillon Music. In addition to his job at Dillon's, Perry is a fine trumpet player, working in a wide variety of musical settings.

Also, Max Seigel will be coming for the afternoon. For those that don't know of Max yet, you should and you will. Monster of a bass trombone player and a very, very funny guy.

Come on down!
