Connecticut Tuba Christmas

Post by DonShirer »

Connecticut's Tuba Christmas celebration will take place in the Morgan High School Auditorium in Clinton, CT on Saturday, December 12. Registration at 11 am, rehearsal at 11:30, pizzas at 1 pm and the concert begins at 2 pm.

Using familiar hymns and carols as the appetizers, the entree course is Tchaikovski's Nutcracker Suite (shameless plug) with a few guest instrumentalists, and for dessert, some special Christmas-related Ditties.

The free concert will be directed by Gary Buttery, longtime tuba maestro in CT and RI, who says it is very "kidworthy" and urges attendees to bring the whole family.

The Morgan School is at 27 Killingworth Turnpike (Route 81) in Clinton, immediately adjacent to Exit 63 on Interstate 95.
