Anybody going? I'd love to meet some local tubenetter's. If you need a tuba for the Naperville gig I'd surely find one for you to play on. Of course info can be found here

Thanks for bumping this to the top!
I live in Chicago and would love to participate but don't have access to a tuba. I posted an ad on Craigslist but haven't received any hits as of yet. I'm most familiar with BBb but could make it work on C or Eb in a pinch. If anyone can help, I'd be very appreciative!
Best, Tim

I'll try to throw an extra horn in the car for both events, PM me if you'd like my cell # for further contact closer to the time of the event.

Hey, where is the Chicago TubaChristmas being held? It's usually at the Hilton where the Midwest Clinic is held, by my understanding, but the Hilton is under renovations and Midwest is at McCormick Place this year. Will TubaChristmas be there too?

Thanks. Just seemed weird that the clinic would be moved but TubaChristmas wouldn't be...

I heard they struggled with spacial issues at the Hotel, part of why they moved.

CSO Brass, which is promoted by Midwest, also wasn't moved from Orchestra Hall. But their performance was certainly moving! Gene Pokorny and Civic Orchestra tubist Takahiro Kim sounded great.

Ah, that makes more sense. I'd heard that the hotel was undergoing renovations or something and that this was a one-year thing. Guess I was misinformed. Thanks for filling me in.
