There will be reading sessions for trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium and tuba. These sessions are open to everyone. The more, the merrier, so bring your instruments!

There will also be a recital featuring community members (students and adults). If you or your students are in a chamber brass ensemble or have a solo that you would like to perform, please contact Frank Gazda for more information. Soloists must provide their own accompanists.

Participants in the community recital will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and must contact Frank Gazda no later than February 5. Please provide the name of the piece, the composer, the approximate timing of the piece, the names of all performers and affiliation (school, group) if any. Band directors, this is a great opportunity to prepare for solo and ensemble festival!

Finally, as part of the 7:15 Prelude Concert, we will be staging a “Mass Brass” performance. We will be rehearsing for the performance at 5:00. The mass brass performance is open to all interested brass players.

Good luck!

I had the chance to hang with Dr. Hoffman and the "Sting" Brass Quintet guys last summer at Brass im Frankenwald - all great guys; this should be a fun festival!

If you're in the area, go check it out.
