Hi Folks:

Brevard Music Center, one of the preeminent summer music festivals in the country, is looking for two talented high school euphonium players for the program this summer. Activities include daily band rehearsals, chamber music opportunities, weekly lessons with Charles Villarrubia of University of Texas/Rhythm and Brass, and a great deal of practice time in a beautiful setting in western North Carolina. It's the perfect place to get ready for the Falcone Competition, and scholarship money is available.

For the right player, there are possible opportunities to perform Ein Heldenleben and The Planets with the orchestras.

If you're interested, please visit http://www.brevardmusic.org to learn more. Applications can be made online.

Any questions, feel free to email me at dansatt@gmail.com" target="_blank

Thanks,

Brevard is an amazing experience. Having attended as a tuba player for the last two season, I can attest to the high level of the students and ensembles. The wind ensemble plays great repertoire and is lead by the amazing Kraig Allan Williams (possibly the most charismatic conductor I have ever worked with). Working with Mr. Villarrubia is a privilege in itself!!! Tuba/Euph students from the two years I was there have been accepted at nearly every major music school, and are attending BU, Carnegie Mellon, Yale, Colburn etc..

Go for it!
