Northwestern U Euphonium/Tuba Worshop
There are still openings for performer participants and auditors in the one-week workshop hosted by Northwestern University June 28-July 2. Rex Martin, professor of tuba and euphonium at Northwestern University, and Fritz Kaenzig, professor of tuba and euphonium at the University of Michigan, will present a five day performance workshop for tuba and euphonium players. During this intensive week, students will have the opportunity to study with both teachers in a master class setting. Various sessions will include, but are not limited to: audition preparation, recital preparation, efficient practice techniques, the psychology of performance, effectively combating stage fright, fundamental and advanced techniques, breathing and pedagogy. In addition to the master classes, both Mr. Kaenzig and Mr. Martin will present solo recitals. The final deadline for performer applications is June 1. Auditors are encouraged.
