The West coast premiere of Oresteia, the only opera by Xenakis, will take place this Sunday at 4pm at the Wild Beast. The Wild Beast (http://calarts.edu/wild-beast" target="_blank) is the beautiful new concert hall at CalArts and will be used in its open-door configuration, so bring a chair or blanket. This show is free but reserving a ticket on the Wild Beast website is recommended.

This piece has great brass parts (1111) and the music is awesome.
