Hiram,

Great playing on your recital! Great pieces and you handled them well. You will only get better with experience on the musical aspect as well as the experience factor. I thought you played very well, and really took an aggressive approach to it. Hard work pays off, always! As for myself, thank you for the invitation a while back to play. I appreciate it, and it's always fun to travel and play, especially with good friends like yourself and good players like yourself. I had a great time the entire time I was there, eventhough we did eat at Jimmy John's like 49 times! It was good though! I'll have to come up and do it again sometime. You need to come to WKU and give a recital with me next semester. I'll let you know the details later. Take it easy, and talk to you soon.

Hey Brandon,

As long as I get to play the Cosma and Faure on our recitals then I think we are good to go. Just kidding man, I can't wait till we start doing split recitals, gonna be tons of fun man. Take care, see you soon (at midwest).

Yeah....already got shotgun! ;) Yeah man, I can't wait either. It's going to be a lot of fun! I figured our program would be something like this:

Mine-
Cosma, Faure, Birthday Tribute

Yours-
Variations on a Bb Scale, Eb Major Scale in thirds, an 'unaccompanied' Pedal Bb.

How's that sound?? Anyway, I'm going to get in the practice room before I get too hungry. I'll talk to you later man. Keep in touch.

HACKS!

Ok, I saw this recital. I heard about this Hiram kid, so I went to see it. It was good. Well, the accompanist was good. Man that guy could play. Hiram, well, he did ok on the baritone solos, but his little friend, Brandon, his horn was way shinier. and besides. Everyone knows that it's hard to play euphonium sitting down. I think that if Hiram had played standing up, like his accompanist and brandon, he would have done a lot better. But what do I know. I am only in high school.
