IUP Brass Day - Demondrae Thurman

Indiana University of Pennsylvania, located in Indiana, PA will be hosting a Brass Day on Saturday, March 5. Brass Day is an all-day event featuring performances and master classes by guest artist, Demondrae Thurman, and the IUP Brass Faculty. We will be forming a tuba-euphonium ensemble as well as a massed brass ensemble. Registration is $20 and includes access to all events, vendors (Bach, Conn, Yamaha, and others...), t-shirt, and lunch. If you can only make it for Mr. Thurman's recital, admission for that event is $5 (but is included in the full registration amount). 9 AM - Registration and Welcome

10 AM - Individual Instrument Warm Up Session

10:45 AM - Individual Instrument Ensembles

11:30 AM - Lunch (Provided)

1 PM - Individual Instrument Ensembles

2 PM - Demondrae Thurman Clinic

3 PM - Mass Brass Choir

3:30 PM - Break

4 PM - Demondrae Thurman Recital

5:30 PM - Dinner

7 PM - Evening Concert: HoodleBug Brass, Participant Ensembles, Demondrae Thurman

If this is local to you- GO!

Demondrae presented at SEATEC in Seattle last year and he was very, very good. Great player, great sense of humor and able to put his ideas across well.

Bump for pre-registration date.

Applications should be received by Feb. 15th for $20 admission. The admission fee goes up to $30 after Feb. 15th.

I hope I can see several of you from the tuba-euph community at this event.
