TubaMeister Christmas in San Antonio

This may be one of those "shameless" plugs. The TubaMeisters sponsor an event similar to the official TubaChristmas events. These take place annually in downtown San Antonio, Tx. Here is the announcement for this year's event:

All tuba, euphonium, and baritone horn players
are invited to participate in the

Twenty-Sixth Annual TubaMeister Christmas

Date
Saturday, December 18, 2004

Time and Location
San Antonio, Texas

9:45 a.m. - Registration begins
10:30 to ll:30 a.m. - Rehearsal
St. Johns Lutheran Church
502 E. Nueva (in the rear area of the building)

Concert @ 12:00 noon
Arneson River Theater (on the River Walk)

Cost
For participants: $5.00 donation
For audience: No cost


Provided
One copy of the music (baritone parts available in both clefs)
A place to meet, rehearse, and perform
A good time

Participants should bring a music stand or lyre. A strap may be helpful in holding the instrument. The concert will be performed while standing.

Music is approximately grade 1½-2. Therefore, it is playable by even very young players.

This event is always fun. We have our own music book of Christmas carols. Fellow Tubenetters would be very, very welcome. This would provide a great opportunity to meet some of you. I would assume it would only be guys from Texas, but we have had people attend from as far away as Washington state. If any of you plan to attend, let me know so I can arrange to recongnize you during the rehearsal.
