Hi Cameron,

Yes I did! You guys sounded great as usual. Good program too. I don't remember ever playing Sousa's march, "The Picadore". Good march (nice counter melody for the euphs). You had some nice solo licks Cameron. Kudos to you! I was sitting pretty far back (2400 seat auditorium) in the front row of what I would call the mezzanine section behind the light control / recording section. The band's balance was excellent. The low brass had a great sound. Only 3 tenor T-bones and one bass T-bone... good sound!

While we were waiting for the concert to start, I noticed 'Holst' listed in the program and thought... "Oh good, they're playing a Holst suite. Oops... no, this is different". This was "Prelude & Scherzo, Hammersmith Opus 52". A more contemporary piece. I liked it, but I heard a couple behind me (~80 year olds) say they didn't care for it too much. Your moderator and vocal soloist, SSgt Sara Dell 'Omo did a great job as well. The crowd loved her singing of the "Sentimental Journey" piece (arr. by SSgt Ryan Nowlin).

At intermission I noticed MGySgt Phil Franke signing autographs for students at the front of the stage so I worked my way up to try to say hello. I had heard a rumor that he had already retired so was surprised to see him there. I asked him about that and he said not yet, but in April. I think he's already served 30 years. I know you guys have already hired Hiram Diaz a few months ago for euph.

Great job by a great band! Thanks for the memories.
