Aubrey Foard Open Masterclass 7 PM, Oct 11th @ WVSU
Posted: Tue Oct 04, 2011 11:29 am
Hello Everyone,
I will be presenting a masterclass that is open to all-comers this coming Tuesday, October 11th at 7 PM in the Recital Hall inside the Davis Fine Arts building at West Virginia State University. Here is a map of the campus: http://www.wvstateu.edu/sites/default/f ... su_map.jpg" target="_blank" target="_blank
This class will be open to all students, with an emphasis on high school students getting ready for college auditions and current college students. I will perform one solo work, followed by one or two of my students, and then I will allow anyone interested in taking part the opportunity to perform and be coached onstage. Low brass players will be given priority and I will plan on coaching until at least 10 PM if not later. So, if you come, there is a pretty good chance you will play.
If you are a pre-college low brass player and looking to attend school in West Virginia, this is an excellent opportunity to experience the atmosphere, facilities and people of WV State.
Finally, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. I would like anyone who may be interested to have enough notice so that they may consider attending.
Any questions? Please PM me.
Thank you,
Aubrey Foard
Adjunct Professor of Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba, West Virginia State University
