Tchaik 2 is FUN!
My fav out of the first 3 Tchaikovsky Symphonies.
I recently performed Tchaik 2 along with Brahm's Academic Festival Overture and a couple other pieces last weekend, so my ears are fresh for it. Wish we had the funding to record them though
Played them before with different orchestras.
Anyway, what section are you talking about the tuba sounding/being "late" on in Tchaik 2? Are you talking about the 8 bars of fast 8th-rest/8th-note off-beat section with bass t-bone in the last 4th movement? Or later on in the last 4th mvmnt, 8 bars with bass t-bone starting on a D? I will try to listen for those sections
But I think you will be fine since you are already aware of those 'sneaky' sections. Will try to remember to listen to it tomorrow
