In its first decade, the Chicago Brass Band has won the North American Brass Band Association Championship, competed in the inaugural World Music Contest in The Netherlands, participated in the renowned Whit Friday Marches in England, and dazzled a packed hall at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in Chicago. The band now celebrates these first ten years with this special anniversary concert.

The concert’s first half will feature pieces significant to the band's history, including an item performed with band alumni. In the concert’s second half, the band will preview the program it is preparing for its first-ever entry in the upcoming US Open contest. Following the concert, join band members and alumni for a light reception in the Gorton Center's solarium.
