Los Angeles area tuba players:
On Monday November 19 Hungarian Tuba Virtuoso and Composer Roland Szentpali will be presenting a masterclass at USC. First DMA Student Blake Cooper will perform and examine the music of Roland Szentpali. His lecture recital will examine how Roland's virtuosic tuba artistry and Hungarian heritage influence how he composes for the tuba. Blake will be assisted by Roland and immediately after Blake's recital Roland will present the masterclass.
The class will start at 6pm and take place in the Ramo Recital Hall on the University of Southern California campus.
Roland is an incredible player and inspirational teacher, this is definitely a must see.
I hope to see all of you there!
