Dear Friends:

We have assembled a lovely group for the AYWS ("and friends") Los Angeles/Disney Hall tour (June 25-30), with a few shortages that would help complete the instrumentation nicely. Please let me know if you have any possible candidates who might be able to "fill holes" in the designated areas.

FLUTE (4) - need 1-2
OBOE (2) - could use 1
BASSOON (1) - need 1-2
CLARINET (5) - need 3-4
BASS CLARINET (2)
SAXOPHONE (6)
TRUMPET (6) - need 1-2
HORN (4)
TROMBONE (8)
EUPHONIUM (1) - need 1
TUBA (1) - need 1
PERCUSSION (5) - could use 1
PIANO (1)
STRING BASS (0) - need 1

Repertoire: Early Light (Bremer), California Counterpoint (McTee), Excursions (Broughton), Concerto for Clarinet (Ticheli), and The Adventures of Mutt (Williams).

In addition to the concert in Disney Hall, we have confirmed appearances with Frank Ticheli, Hans Zimmer, Bruce Broughton, Carolyn Bremer, and a number of Los Angeles performers, composers, and industry personnel. Katire Curran (clarinet) and Robert Frear (trumpet) are featured soloists.

Please let me know if you--or any colleagues--can help us complete the ensemble.

Many thanks!

Scott Stewart
