Hi to all!
Oystein Baadsvik will be giving a masterclass/lecture and a short recital TODAY (Oct. 28, 2013) in Portland. Apologies for the very late notice but we were only able to confirm all the details at the end of last week. Even so, if you are in any position to join us, please do!!! Here are the details:
Time: 4 to 6 pm (doors open at 3:30 pm)
Place: Evans Auditorium, Evans Music Center, Lewis and Clark College
Cost: FREE (You will have to pay a small parking fee if you park on campus. You can buy your pass at any automated parking kiosk, but remember to write you license plate number on the pass when you leave it displayed in your car!)
As has been noted, Oystein is the only active full time tuba soloist out there and a true artist and virtuoso on the instrument! NO ONE should miss this rare opportunity if at all possible.
As a bonus....the Oregon Symphony is also playing Shostakovich 10 tonight at 8 pm (second half) in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in downtown Portland!! Why not make it a complete day of wonderful brass music....and besides, you might see Oystein there as well!
Thanks for your attention!
