Akron TubaChristmas

Hi TubeNet-

As you may or may not know, Akron, Ohio hosts one of the largest TubaChristmas events in these United States of America. Sure, Chicago and NYC are big and cool, but Akron consistently has over 500 performers and performs two sold out (tix are free, but have to be handed out due to fire regulations) shows to over 3,000 spectators each!

If you are in the area, I highly suggest coming out and participating or, at least, watching the festivities! Festivities take place on Saturday, December 21, 2013.

Registration is from 8:30-9:30 AM.
Rehearsal is form 9:30-11:30AM.
Performance One is at 12:00PM.
Performance Two is at 2:30PM.

All events take place inside EJ Thomas Hall on campus at the University of Akron.

Akron TubaChristmas is in its 34th year and is presented as a gift to the community by the Akron School of Music and EJ Thomas Hall. As it has been for 34 years, Tucker Jolly is the lead organizer and conductor. Guest conductors include Bob Jorgensen and Andy Larson (yours truly).
