Willson UK Euphonium artist Charley Brighton continues his 13 year run of recitals with no.54 on May 3rd. at St. Mary’s Slough, Berkshire UK.
Charley’s guest will be Robert Marsh, principal trombone of the Flowers Band (Gloucester) who will premiere David Taylor’s Concertino for Trombone, with the composer at the piano.
The recital starts with another of Charley’s transcriptions of classical cello works, the Rondo Op.94 by Dvorak and also features Grieg’s Norwegian Dance no.2 adapted for the mighty American Martin Sousaphone from his collection.
Malcolm Stowell will be at the piano & organ and the concert starts at 12 noon, admission is free and coffee and tea are served afterwards.
