I heard this music live at The Stone prior to recording. Jose Davila was great. Tyshawn Sorey on drums/percussion absolutely blew me away.

I don't think anyone's expressing prejudice here. One has to admit, though, that we don't often hear of a professional orchestra doing hip-hop. Therefore, it should be an interesting show.

It's a band that plays free/avant garde/weird/challenging (take your pick) improvisational music. It's also a reference to a new recording, not a specific show.

Both Lehman and Davila are fantastic. I appreciate your posting this. Top shelf! Now to get them in Missouri..
