Have fun with that! We've been playing it regularly on the ship, its a fun book, and very different from the norm for the tuba.

For one, "Birth of the Cool" had a Gil Evans sequel named "Into the Hot"with similar instrumentation.

I used to play dixieland at the Yankees games with Johnny. He was a wealth of knowledge and of course had a million stories. :D

I was trying to recall who the tuba player was for Birth of the Cool and came across this interesting article.
