Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that tommorrow evening at 8, the Penn State Symphony Orchestra will be performing The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky.(2 Tubas) If you can make it stop by and say hi to the studio.

I went to the concert. They did a fantastic job on all the pieces. The warm weather brought out the crowds - they ran out of programs! They had to delay the start of the concert by ten minutes so those of us who didn't buy tickets in advance could get in. Then the conductor did a good job stalling by giving all the program anouncements before the concert.

I was very impressed by the performance and enjoyed it thoroughly. I would say that a recording of the Rite of Spring is not something I'd like to play over and over again, but hearing it live from a bunch of inspired students, thrilled with their larger than normal audience, was a great way to spend a warm spring evening

The standing ovation was well deserved.
