Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass Retreat

Post by John Banther »

Hi Everyone,

The RMPBB has been holding Trumpet retreats for a few years now, and has occasionally opened it up to all brass. The next retreat, the "Mountain Retreat" is open for all brass players, and will be held in the Banner Elk, NC area May 31st-June 7th.

The retreat is different than any other retreat, a huge house/mansion is rented for the week, everyone hangs out together and learns from each other. Guest artists are brought in for masterclasses and private lessons.

Also, all of the guest artists stay in the house with everyone as well! Past guest artists have been Wynton Marsalis, Jens Lindemann, Wyclef Gordon, Alan Baer, myself, Zenas Kim-Banther, Jose Sibaja and more!

The mountain retreat will be a blast! Hiking, fishing, zip-lining, etc.

More information is here: http://www.rmpbb.com/artist.php?view=reper&rid=2432" target="_blank" target="_blank"
Cheers!

Hi,

Yes, same Rodney, he changed his name when got married.

Hope to see some of you there, it is a lot of fun, and people of ALL ages and abilities are there.

From retired Police officers, students, to a retired (kinda famous) National Geographic cameraman who always comes in from Japan, everybody is welcome!
