Electrobrass Conference! June 4-6

Post by ppenguinmann »

Greetings!

ELECTROBRASS is a Music Conference held at The University of Alabama from June 4-6. This Conference was founded by American Composer, Brass and Electronics Innovator, and Eclectic Tuba frontman Matt Owen in 2014 in order to help bring together some of the greatest brass+electronic musicians in the world to discuss the evolution of art, music, and entertainment, and to explore hip brand-new mind blowing musical and visual exhibits and creations from colleagues all over the world. The Electrobrass Conference is offering Solo and Composition Competitions to ensure a thriving creative competitiveness to this end of the musical spectrum in order to increase the overall rate at which this art expands. The conference will feature performances by Patrick Sheridan, Sam Pilafian, Matt Owen, John Manning, Joe Murphy, Nat McIntosh, and many more!

The Electrobrass Conference will offer jam sessions and evening entertainment from some of the leading brass performers in the country. Bring your gear! This will be an amazing chance to try your horn out on different rigs and FX setups, and it will be an even better chance to explore unique timbres and techniques that a lot of the leading brass players use in performances and recordings!

The conference is being hosted by Matt Owen, Jeremy Crawford, and the University of Alabama Tuba Studio. All events will be held in the Moody Music Building on the campus of the beautiful University of Alabama on June 4-6, and will begin at 11am daily! We couldn't be more happy about our home this year, and we cant wait to see you all there!

For more information, please feel free to contact me at jeremy.s.crawford@ua.edu" target="_blank You can register for the conference and find even more information at http://www.electrobrass.com" target="_blank

Hope to see some of you soon!
